Air Force ROTC

Air Force ROTC stands for Reserve Officers’ Training Corps.  It’s a college program offered at over 1000 colleges and universities across the U.S. that prepares full-time college students to become officers in the United States Air Force.  Full college scholarships are available for highly competitive students in their senior year of high school.
Air Force ROTC provides a challenging program for outstanding young men and women to hone their time management, physical fitness, and leadership skills.
The General Military Course is designed for freshmen and sophomore students who are at a minimum:

  • Enrolled in a university that hosts or has a cross-town agreement with an Air Force ROTC Detachment, with at least a 2.0 GPA
  • Able to pass an Air Force Physical Fitness Assessment each semester
  • Of excellent moral character (no criminal record)
  • Willing to devote 5-7 hours per week to Air Force ROTC Professional Military Training offered at Saint Louis University

The Professional Officer Course is designed for juniors and seniors who meet the above requirements, and are qualified and willing to serve four years upon graduation in the United States Air Force as an Officer.
